The ANNUAL PDI competition will take place tonight.
This competition will consist of 4 rounds in which you can enter a single image. Whilst you are not obliged to enter 4 images you will need to do so to have a realistic chance of winning the competition as the winning author will have attained the higest aggregate score. There are no time restrictions as to when the images were taken. Images can be in any photographic genre.
Bring in your PRINTS for the following week's Annual Print Competition.

Our ANNUAL PRINT competition - Judge Martin Patten
This is an OPEN competition and there is no date restriction on when you took the image for the print. Up to two colour images and up to two Mono images are allowed for this competition. Full details will be given two weeks in advance.
There will be a trophy for the first place in the Colour Print section and another trophy for the first place in the MONO section.
Tue 28 Apr 2026 - Speaker (Christchurch): Peter Warne "African Wildlife - beyond Safari Tourism"
Peter Warne is a local speaker and has given a talk before to us about "African Wildlife - beyond Safari Tourism". I missed this talk but everyone that was there thought it was the best wildlife talk they heard. So hopefully I will be able to hear it tonight. For those members who did hear Peter's talk the first time, he assures me that he has updated this talk quite a lot so there will be lots of new material there.

Tue 5 May 2026 - Print Competition - Panels of Three and Panels of Five - Judge Dave Hipperson (Christchurch)
This is a prints competition. The first half will be made up of panels of three prints, the second half with panels of five. They should all tell a story or set a theme in their collection. Full details will be sent out nearer the time.

The AGM and announcement of the Trophy winners for the season. Please submit any topics you want discussed at the AGM a few weeks beforehand.
Tue 19 May 2026 - PDI Knockout Competition - we are the judges. (ZOOM)
Our Annual fun PDI Knockout Competition. We can submit up to two images per person and these are drawn against each other in pairs. We vote on the better one, which goes through to the next round. We continue this until we reach the final two images. The winner of this final round wins the competition - for which there is a trophy.
